Comfort Cravings

Surprised at how tasty it was. Super happy I strolled in to try it out. I've also had the Butter Chicken Bowl and not only was it tasty but the portion was pretty big. Good prices, great food!

I was driving onto terry fox drive when I notice a new restaurant called Comfort Cravings. It’s Behind Boston pizza in the Kanata Centrum. I was interested and decided to go there. They had UFOs on the menu. The UFO is pressed between two slices of bread in which the ingredients are inside, and is shaped like a round circle with crunchy bread around the edges which I loved, you will see in the photos. The first one I tried was a UFO filled with all beef bologna, all beef salami, cheese, and mustard. The crust around the UFO was crunchy and flavourful great flavour and very tender. The second one I tried was called the cali craving it had all beef bologna cheese BBQ chips and mustard. Also very flavourful. The third one I tried was the Montreal Crave, this one was my favourite, it had Montreal smoked meat smoked turkey mustard and mayo, it melted in my mouth, it was excellent, my favourite. They also have coleslaw and Mac n cheese which were also very tasty. They have a meat ball madness which has a meat ball on top of a piece of bread with sauce poured on top. was all so good. The flavour reminded me of the meat ball sandwich and the sauce at the Prescott tavern on Preston street, wow. They have meatloaf and Mac. Pulled pork, wraps and bowls and desserts like choco waffle pops and much more. The whole experience was excellent, the food was fresh. The service was amazing and quick. I loved the food items, very original. Can’t wait to go back.

I have been going to Comfort Cravings since the first week they’ve opened. The food is delicious, all items crafted carefully in house which makes it so authentic and unique. The staff is fantastic, super friendly and made us feel at home. The portion size is great and honest pricing. They also do catering and made sandwiches for my workplace for an event. Everybody enjoyed the different UFO sandwich options, such as great way to serve it. About the UFO sandwiches; I love how the bread is perfectly toasted and concentrates all the flavours inside the sandwich. Also very easy to eat without making a mess. Word of a messy eater. ;D Picture attached has the Zorzi UFO.

Decided to try this place on a whim and boy oh boy were we impressed! We chatted with the owner Phil Patel who was so helpful in deciding what to try and gave us a few samples to try of which every single one was out of this world delicious. Make sure if you have the mac and cheese request the meat sauce on top!!! I had the Montpellier wrap which had the most amazing bacon with an added flavor and crunch from the BBQ chops. My husband had the Chicken 68 bowl which had a good amount of heat to it and said it was the best rice bowl he has ever had. The dessert waffles had the perfect amount of sweet to finish off the meal. The service was fantastic and friendly and I can't wait to get back again. We will definitely use them for catering for our work events too!

Had to try a little bit of everything. UFO burger was on point! Definitely my favourite. Waffle dog is a big step up from a regular corn dog. The owner was so amazing to us we really appreciated all his help. They even have a great idea where you can bring in your local products to sell on consignment. Everything about this place was amazing. Weird comment but even the bathrooms smelt good and clean. Definitely coming back!

Go to Comfort Cravings in Kanata, you will not regret it! Phil the owner is very nice and makes sure your experience is above and beyond! Staff is very nice as well. As soon as you step inside, you are treated as family. Food is excellent and homemade. Will definitely recommend and go back! Thank you for the amazing visit!

Came in because the catchy name caught my attention. Owner was amazing. Treated my kids incredible. Decor is spot on and food was soo simple yet yummy. Gotta try the UFO sandwiches with a mango cran smooth. Kids were a huge fan of the choco waffle pops for desert. Can’t wait to come again! The price is also just right.

Fresh food, made from scratch, on site! It is comfort food... nostalgic and nothing is deep-fried!  Phil greeted me at the door and was kind enough to offer me sample sizes of the mac n cheese and meat sauce, both of which were super yummy! The meat sauce can go on top of the meatball sandwich or pairs well with the 4 cheese mac n cheese (made with real cheese)!!!  I had the smoked meat and turkey UFO with a side of fresh coleslaw, and a can of pop for less than $12!! The sandwich is pressed and looks like a UFO, hence the name. They also have bowls, wraps and waffle dogs! The serving size was perfect for me. I will definitely be returning to try different menu items. I stayed to eat and this restaurant is super clean and comfortable. I also enjoyed the 80s / 90s music that was playing!
